"I love you madame. and I would like to spend the rest of my life with you." he said, getting down on one knee "our lives are eternal, so please, spend eternity with me, as my wife." he said, pulling out a small box, and opening it to show a ring with a large diamond centerpiece, inside a ring of rubies, with two emeralds besides them.

Madame's breath caught in her throat and her hand raised as if to remove the block. Her eyes teared up and she smiled. For the first time in her long life she was almost completely speechless. "I... Yes. Of course. Yes."

Mr. Tall smiled, and put the ring onto her finger, stood up, and kissed her. "I love you madame. i always have, and i always will. i promise. I spent my life searching for you before i knew you, and didn't realize it till after i loved you. i don't want to spend the rest of my life trying to find you again." he said, staring into the Madame's beautiful eyes. He her soul, and he saw how much he loved her.

Madame's eyes flooded with tears. She smiled and let herself cry into Hibernious' chest. "I spent my life searching for you too... I'm so happy... I don't ever have to be alone again. Thank you..." She wrapped her arms around him and held him as tight as her slender arms would allow.

Mr. Tall smiled at the tears of joy in his own eyes, and leaned down to kiss his fiancee."Your not the only one who's happy... now, lets get the tent set up and go to bed. We have a busy day tomorrow."

Madame nodded and smiled up at Hibernious. "We do. That tent is going to be evil to set up. Fortunately our tent is much simpler." She reluctantly disentangled herself from Hibernious' arms and went to get their tent out of the back of her van, smiling over her shoulder as she went.

Mr. Tall stood where he was, torn between a desire to grab the Madame and take her somewhere where they could be alone and the sense of responsibility to the cirque. He smiled at her and decided he should do both at once, and ran forward, grabbed her, then grabbed their tent. "I figured this would be much more appreciated then letting you walk alone." he said, putting her down next to him and starting to put their tent up.

Madame laughed as she let Hibernious carry her, giggling even harder as he set her down. "Yes, it was. And I don't suppose you'll let me help with the tent this time either?" The last few times they had set up camp Hibernious had been adamant about setting up their tent, she usually wound up sitting off to the side while he set up their tent and just about everything else in it.

Mr. Tall laughed, thinking how silly he was being in his chivalry. "No, I'm afraid not madame. it's my job, after all. your job" he said, tackling her and kissing her as they landed "is to be beautiful and amazing. and trust me, you do your job very well."

Madame smiled and curled into Mr. Tall's arms. "Thank you Hibernious. You're very sweet." She sighed and kissed him back. "I know I complain, but really, I wouldn't have this any other way."

he kissed her back and whispered "neither would i." a short while later, after finishing the tent, he turned to the madame, who was dealing with some of there children. it seemed that a van was missing and had not returned. from what he could tell, it was the van of that troublesome fire eater.

Madame sighed as she paced, trust Raksha to go off alone. She turned to Mr. Tall. "Well, Raksha's wandered off again. What are the bets on him coming back without coercion this time, do you think?" She shook her head, on set up days, Raksha was one of the most troublesome, and she would need his help with the tent. He knew this, but was still particularly obstinate about doing anything other than the show.

"Well, lets just say a mafia would love to work those bets." he said, frowning. "We could just have Evra and Cormac help us instead. they're not as good at it, but with both of them, we should be able too. we ought nought let him perform if he continues doing this madame." Mr. Tall said, thinking to himself that Raksha was doing this simply to interupt he and the Madames time together. Thats fine he thought. if Raksh keeps this up, then he might be getting put on little person duty, just to make everyones life easier.

Madame frowned. "I know, but, I the problem is, if we don't let him perform he won't come back. With as talented as he is we need him. It took me centuries to find a good fire dancer Hibernious, Raksha's the best I've seen since the fifteenth century. As petulant as he's being I know I should be more strict, but..." She sighed, "I'm just afraid of what would happen should someone else get their hands on him, fire dancers get mistreated horribly..." She turned and buried her face in Hibernious' chest. "I really don't know what to do..."

"I know. but if he does leave and join another cirque, he will remember why he joined ours." Mr. Tall said, frowning. "He must learn madame. He must learn that if he wants to be a performer, he has to help the performance. And he wont if we keep letting him get away with this." Mr. Tall said. and then he whispered to himself "the cirque is a place for people with no where else to go. If he thinks he has a better place to be, then he doesnt belong here..."
